- Do you know what “intersectional” means
- Are you aware of your intersectional service users?
- What are you doing to include intersectional people in your services?
Intersectional people belong simultaneously in more than one disadvantaged group or have more than one protected characteristic. Eg: Bisexual AND African or Transgender AND disabled. We can have unique complex needs and face particular barriers when accessing services. Eg: homophobic interpreters.
This free interactive half day training session provides an introduction to intersectionality and offers a unique opportunity to explore practical ways to provide better services for intersectional people.
On: Monday 18 November 2013 from 9.30 – 1.30 OR 1.30 – 5.30
At: LGBT Youth Scotland, Citadel House, 40 Commercial Street, Edinburgh, EH6 6JD
